Formation of the Technical Advisory Group on feed additive environmental assessment

Building global technical consensus on feed additive environmental profile through the LEAP Partnership

18/07/2017

The Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership aims at developing guidance and methodology for environmental assessments of all types of livestock production systems. After having formed a new technical advisory group (TAG) to assess soil carbon stock changes in grasslands and rangelands earlier this year, LEAP is now forming a TAG on Feed Additives and seeking for experts to collaborate as technical members in this new initiative. The experts participating in this TAG should have a strong background in one or more of the following subjects: animal science, animal nutrition, life cycle assessment, livestock production systems, feed technology and sciences. Ideally, TAG members have a proven track record in research. LEAP aims to establish a TAG with diverse expertiseand experience background, and therefore encourages scientists from all regions of the world to express their interest. Interested experts can apply at [email protected] until 31st July 2017 16th August 2017.

More details on tasks, work plan, deliverables and application procedure for TAG members are available in the Terms of reference.
