Strengthening the capacities of African universities to shape the future of food security and agriculture
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Regional Universities Forum for Capacities Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding and committed to work together to strengthen  the capacities of RUFORUM member universities to better contribute to food security and nutrition, increase sustainability of agricultural and food systems, reduce rural poverty and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. FAO and the Pan-African Parliament launch capacity reinforcement initiative for legislators
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Pan-African Parliament have launched a partnership to improve legislation of food and nutrition security issues in Africa. High-level delegates from Kenya spent one week in Malaysia meeting their peers to discuss how to turn food security and nutrition policy into action

Increasing the resilience of communities in francophone Africa
In view of the Université de Liège’s (ULiège) widely-recognized valuable contributions of scientific research and education in the areas of FAO’s mandate, both institutions have agreed to formalize a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
