On 22 December, an introductory meeting was held over lunch between key members of the FAO Parliamentarian Friendship League and the FAO National Goodwill Ambassadors, Mr. Katsuhiro Nakamura and Ms. Hiroko Kuniya. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a good foundation for their collaborative effort and synergies in support for FAO’s work. Mr. Yoshimasa Hayashi, Chairman and current Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, graciously attended the meeting and exchanged views and opinions with the two FAO National Goodwill Ambassadors. The event took place at Hotel Metropolitan Edmont in Tokyo where Mr. Nakamura serves as Honorary Head Chef.
