In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, developing countries need massive and urgent support. Join us for an open global dialogue to learn about FAO’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Programme, and how you can partner with us to prevent a global food emergency.

FAO COVID-19 Response and Recovery priority areas

FAO is calling for new and reinforced partnerships for an international food and agriculture response to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting country, regional and global efforts against hunger and malnutrition.

Now is a critical time to secure support to our food systems in order to limit the repercussions of the pandemic, build back better, and accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

How to partner in the response

FAO leverages its convening power to lead international efforts through a comprehensive and multilateral approach, which enables donors to strategically direct resources when and where they are needed most. We invite a broad range of partnerships for COVID-19 response, including through:

Global dialogue event agenda

Transparency and open dialogue are essential, particularly at a time when strategies and budgets are being realigned in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The global dialogue will facilitate discussion with a wide range of partners on the potential of deepening our collaboration. The event’s objectives are to:

  • Consult on priority programme areas to strengthen FAO’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Demonstrate partnership opportunities for coordinated response to immediate humanitarian food crises, as well as for mid- and long-term development actions;
  • Mobilize all forms of resources and partnerships for joint results at country, regional and global level.
