Objective:
YURTA Association is a legal non-profit making association based in Spain, but operating in collaboration with those organisations supporting pastoralists and other mobile indigenous communities both at regional and global levels. We currently work in the high-altitude ecosystem, especially in the High Asia region, for the development of indigenous initiatives focusing on economic upliftment, cultural dissemination and international networking. Our work is based on the principles globally accepted in the Río+20 United Nations General Assembly Resolution (2012) on Sustainable Mountain Development.
