Risk mitigation – Inventory of measures
In the following tables, measures are listed which can reduce the risks of the pesticide for human health or the environment. In principle, only risk mitigation measures are listed that are used in more countries and have shown to effectively reduce risks.
Conditions are identified that should be met for each of the measure to be feasible. In principle, if it is unlikely that a condition can be met locally, the measure will not reduce the risk of the pesticide as expected. Registration authorities should then review whether such a risk mitigation measure can be required as part of the registration. If risk mitigation measures cannot be realistically required for any use, the registration authority may decide not to register the pesticide.
