This issue of the FAO Philippines Newsletter highlights the Country Office's significant activities and achievements for the period of July to December 2020. The FAO Philippines Newsletter Edition April-August 2019 gives a rundown of the Representation Office's significant activities and achievements during the period. It is one of the office's main communication and public awareness tools to improve its visibility among its intended audience, including donors, partners, and other stakeholders.

Newsletter 1 for 2019 contains stories on FAO’s work in the Philippines, including updates on the work of the FAO – Legislative Advisory Group Philippines parliamentary alliance, FAO Marawi response, FAO humanitarian response to Typhoon Mangkhut, launch of FAO-KOICA partnership to support peace and development in Mindanao, FAO-Japan support to empower Mindanao farmers, fisherfolk through livelihood and skills training, restoring food security and enhancing resilience in typhoon-affected communities in Northern Mindanao, improving climate forecasting for farmers and fisherfolk in the Philippines, Filipino farmers benefitting from the Regional Rice Initiative, support to enhancing traditional agri-based livelihoods in indigenous peoples communities, Philippine celebration of International Day of Forests, food safety initiatives in the Philippines, and the publication State of Food Security and Nutrition.
