The Secretariat publishes on this page the information and notifications received on material available in the Multilateral System of Access and Benefit-sharing. The information has been received from Contracting Parties, the International Agriculture Research Centres of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), other International Centres and natural and legal persons within the jurisdiction of Contracting Parties. The National Focal Point of the International Treaty of Uganda has notified the Secretary of the International Treaty of seven hundred and sixty (760) accessions available  in the Multilateral system. These materials can be accessed from the Uganda National Genebank and they comprise:

  • Twenty three accessions of pearl millet
  • Sixty four accessions of sorghum 
  • Four hundred twenty nine accessions of finger millet
  • One hundred fifty one accessions of wild relatives of millets
  • Ninety three accessions of common beans

National Agriculture Research Institute (INRA)

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of France has notified the Secretary of the International Treaty of the inclusion in the Multilateral system of two French collections maintained by the National Agriculture Research Institute (INRA, in French). The first collection includes 531 accessions of forages located in Poitou-Charantes (Lusignan) while the second collection includes 91 accessions of potato located in Rennes (Ploudaniel). The names of the accessions, their summary description, and the names of the curators are listed in the attached notification.
