I have the honour to draw your attention to the outcomes of the First Meeting of the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Farmers’ Rights, held from 11-14 September 2018 and to further actions required to prepare for the second meeting. You will recall that the Governing Body had at its Seventh Session, requested the Expert Group to produce an inventory of national measures that may be adopted, best practices and lessons learned from the realization of Farmers’ Rights, as set out in Article 9 of the International Treaty.
