As specified in the notification, the Governing Body of the International Treaty at its Seventh Session, decided to consider at its forthcoming Eighth Session the potential implications of the use of “digital sequence information” (DSI) on genetic resources for the objectives of the International Treaty, and to consider it for inclusion in the Multi-Year Programme of Work of the Governing Body (MYPoW) at that meeting.
