Convention sur la diversité biologique
Depuis l'adoption du Protocole de Nagoya, l'Organe directeur a appelé les Parties contractantes à s'assurer que toutes les mesures législatives, administratives ou politiques prises en vue de l'application du Traité et de la Convention sur la diversité biologique (ou du Protocole de Nagoya y afférent) sont cohérentes et complémentaires. Les secrétariats de ces deux organes ont signé un protocole de coopération et organisent des ateliers conjoints.
Commission des ressources génétiques pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture
La Commission est l'instance qui a négocié le Traité. La collaboration permanente qui a été instaurée favorise la cohérence des politiques et la complémentarité des travaux de ces deux organes dans le domaine des ressources phytogénétiques pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture. Une déclaration conjointe d'intention de coopération a été adoptée et des liens très étroits ont été noués entre les bureaux et les secrétariats des deux organes.
Mobilisation de ressources
Les parties au Traité ont pris acte des résultats positifs de la stratégie de coopération conduite à l'égard des organisations internationales compétentes en vue de faciliter la mise en œuvre de la Stratégie de financement, et en particulier de son Fonds fiduciaire pour le partage des avantages. Elles ont également reconnu combien il était important et utile de nouer des partenariats, s'agissant de la mobilisation de ressources, de la programmation et de l'efficacité des opérations du Fonds.
Cohérence des politiques
L'Organe directeur a demandé au Secrétariat d'établir et de maintenir une coopération avec d'autres organisations internationales et traités intéressés, sur des sujets couverts par le Traité, et l'a invité à continuer à participer aux réunions pertinentes de l'Union internationale pour la protection des obtentions végétales, de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé, de l'Organisation mondiale de la propriété intellectuelle et de l'Organisation mondiale du commerce, des organes de la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatiques et d'autres instances.
