The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Secretariat of the International Treaty for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture and the Global Crop Diversity Trust co-organized a two-day Symposium that brought together technical experts and stakeholders in plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA). The symposium highlighted the current state of knowledge and the enabling environment for in situ conservation and on-farm management of PGRFA. It provided an open-ended forum for the exchange of information and experiences among experts, practitioners and other stakeholders to strengthen and support on-going efforts and foster synergies for the conservation and sustainable use of crop diversity.

This was a virtual Zoom event. Presentations by the technical experts are available as video recordings in all official FAO languages. The recordings were made in advance of the Symposium and are available in ArabicChineseEnglishFrenchRussian and Spanish. The Symposium sessions focused on question and answers, and group discussion.
