FAO and Government authorities in Ghana and Namibia have signed separate agreements to receive assistance to enhance their capacity to implement the Port State Measures Agreement.

The agreements were signed by Ghana's Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development on 2 March 2018 and by Namibia's Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources on 15 March 2018.

Assistance will be provided within the framework of the Port State Measures Support Project, funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation.
