MURSKA SOBOTA, SLOVENIA - Group of Macedonian poultry farmers, processors, retailers and representative of the Macedonian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy visit the production facility and slaughterhouse of “Pan Agromerkur”, Slovenian manufacturer of fresh poultry meat and poultry meat products, processed in the most traditional way, by means of contemporary know-how and technology. “Pan Agromerkur” is part of “Skupina Panvita” holding and serves as an example of rounded-up reproduction chain from agricultural production to fodder processing and animal feeding. The manufacturer concluded the cycle in the new poultry slaughterhouse in Murska Sobota, built in 2002 in line with European veterinary requirements and international food quality and safety standards. The visit is part of a two-year project funded through FAO Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP/MCD/3605) aimed at making the Macedonian broiler subsector competitive, green and inclusive.
