EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION FIRST/LAST OUTBREAK: First PPR outbreak in 2004. Territory conditionally divided into 2 free of PPR zones with vaccination and without vaccination. PPR vaccinations are performed in Almatinskaya, Zhambylskaya, South Kazakhstan regions.

CONTROL ACTIVITIES: Almost 9 million heads of small ruminants were vaccinated in 2016 in Almatinskaya, Zhambylskaya, South-Kazakhstan regions using vaccines of strain «G-45 MK» produced by the Scientific-Research Institute of biological safety problem of Kazakhstan.
