Beans and lentils - healthy seeds for a sustainable future

14 Dec 2016 - 14 Dec 2016

A half-day seminar on beans and lentils will be organized at the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA) in Stockholm on 14 December. The aim is to gather Swedish actors involved in the production chain of pulses such as producers, processors, retailers, researchers, government and industry organizations, to discuss the role of pulses in the sustainable development of agriculture and the environment, both in Sweden and globally.

During the day, stakeholders will have the opportunity to discuss how pulses can contribute to health, nutrition and sustainability. The seminar is also an opportunity for actors at all levels to discuss barriers and opportunities for increased productivity and profitability of beans and lentils in Sweden. The event is organized by KSLA, the Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative (SIANI) and the Swedish FAO committee.

Location: Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA), Drottninggatan 95B, Stockholm
