FAO launches the Italian version of the International Year of Pulses 2016 website

The International Year of Pulses (IYP) 2016 dedicated website is now available in Italian.

Italian speaking users will be able to access IYP related resources in their own language, including promotional materials, the IYP Action Plan and frequently asked questions on pulses.

The Italian version of the website is the result of a collaboration with the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) that offered to manage the translation of the IYP material into Italian. UNRIC has a long-standing collaboration - Distance Internship Programme - with the Scuola Superiore Mediatori Linguistici di Vicenza (Medlingue). Medlingue - under the careful supervision of Professor Giuliana Schiavi and the overall supervision of UNRIC - translated the IYP material.

The outcome of this initiative is a plus in the framework of the IYP outreach activities, and a great opportunity to make information available to a wider public in non-FAO languages.

The IYP logo is already available for download in 27 non-FAO languages while the pulses promotional material has been translated into Turkish, Hungarian, Dutch and Galician, among others.

Join FAO in spreading the message by sharing translations of IYP materials in local languages! Please contact the pulses mailbox with your translation.
