ICD Capacity Building

In many cases, organizations and individuals working in rural development that want to develop activities related to information and communication for development (ICD) lack the skills and tools that they need to implement them. A wide range of learning tools and training resources exist in the following portals. They can support the development of organizational capacities and individual capabilities.

  • Information Management Resource Kit (IMARK) – IMARK is a partnership-based e-learning initiative to develop a series of modules for self-paced instruction and face-to-face training on a range of topics related to information management, including strategic and operational topics.

  • MultiMedia ToolKit (MMTK): MMTK offers a collection of "workshop kits" to support face-to-face training in subjects related to developing multi-purpose community telecentres. The materials use a standard set of templates, and offer building blocks for trainers to build their own courses. MMTK offers suites of materials covering technical, content, organizational, policy and ethical topics.
