Case Studies
This site contains several case studies contributed by FAO and a variety of other sources. They offer specific examples of how the generic approaches discussed in this website have been implemented by stakeholders throughout the developing world.
The studies also analyze the role of information and communication in rural livelihoods. They offer experiences and lessons learned for BRDD stakeholders to draw on, and to integrate successful practices into their own activities related to information exchange and communication.
People or organizations involved in “bridging the rural digital divide” are actively encouraged to submit examples of their own experiences in ICD in support of rural livelihoods. A template of the case study format is accessible here and users can email submissions to this address. Submissions should not exceed 3000 words, will be reviewed and may be edited for addition to the site.
