The approach of FAO Dimitra community listeners' clubs enables rural communities to strengthen their capacities, their self-confidence and take action on their environment. Thanks to the listeners' clubs, -- women, men and youth -- organize themselves, share their concerns, look for solutions together and take collective action. In this socio-economic empowerment process the community radios relay information, collaborate with the clubs. Wherever they are (over 1 000 clubs in Africa, Niger, DRC, Senegal, Mauritania, Burundi) , the clubs have stepping stones for change in the field of agricultural practices and in other areas, such as nutrition, health, gender, etc. This video shows the activities of the clubs in Gasseda.
