Field Programme Development

Technical support to field programme development includes the provision of consultative work and technical backstopping of activities in the area of farming systems development, farm management and farm data collection, analysis and use. In addition to that and depending on the requests by member governments, there is a need for direct support by provision of technical information and advice on farm management and farming systems development. Major activities implemented in the 2002-2003 biennium include support to the formulation and implementation of an active portfolio of projects addressing Member Countries' needs and requests for technical assistance in the broad range of proposed areas addressed by Regular Programme.
