Commission on Livestock Development for Latin America
and the Caribbean (CLDLAC)

Recognizing the serious constraints on livestock development in Latin America and the Caribbean and attending the requests made by member countries at the FAO Regional Conference, held in Barbados in 1986, the FAO Council decided to set up a “Commission on Livestock Development for Latin America and the Caribbean (CLDLAC)”.

The purpose of CLDLAC is the preparation of policies and the coordinated formulation and execution of an active national and regional livestock development programme.
