SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To improve the veterinary epidemiology units capacities for surveillance, detecting and reporting of animal diseases through strengthened and regional coordination in order to get a better understanding of disease epidemiology which leads to preparedness, early warning, rapid response and design of adapted and updated disease control strategies.

To promote better regional management/exploration of disease information in order to upgraded regional zoo-sanitary status knowledge; to allow an intra-regional and extra-regional trade increase, to improve the food security and to create a food safety statute at the national and the regional levels.
