The Dominican Postal Institute launched an issuance of postage stamps under the motto "For the Right to Food" at the Mirador de Santo Domingo Cultural Centre, on the occasion of the World Food Day. The stamps were presented during the prize awarding ceremony to the young winners of the National Contest of Drawings for Illustrating Stamps for the Right to Food, organized by the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic.

In June 2014, and through the Special Committee of the Parliamentary Front Against Hunger, the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic convened teenagers and youngsters across the country to participate in the National Contest of Drawings for Illustrating Stamps for the Right to Food; its main objective being to create public and citizen awareness to recognize the Right to Food.
