Report, 2010. Executive Summary.

This Right to Food Assessment Philippines is composed of three different studies. The first is an analysis of the anatomy of hunger in the Philippines, including the causes and socio-economic characteristics of the hungry; the second is an assessment of the legal framework on the right to food; and the third a review of the government’s safety nets and social protection policies and programs related to the population’s right to adequate food. This Executive Summary explains the rationale and objectives of the Right to Food Assessment Philippines. Additionally, it also includes an overview of the three studies as well as provides a profile of hunger and an analysis of its underlying causes.
