The Right to Food

Evo Morales Ayma, current chairman of the Group of 77 and President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, urged an expansive reading of state's duties to guarantee food and nutrition during his visit to FAO. "Food (nutrition) is a human right and therefore an obligation of the states” he said. “Governments should guarantee a human right (to food), a collective right, for the community and for humanity”.
