This course, entitled “Methodologies for Implementing the Right to Food”, is part of the "Right to Food Curriculum outline" developed by FAO to support the progressive realization of the human right to food. This course describes a series of analytical, educational and normative methodologies that offer guidance and hands-on advice on the practical
aspects of the right to adequate food. It covers a wide range of operational
issues such as assessment, legislation, advocacy, education, budgeting and monitoring of this human right.

DVD: Right to food FORUM

The Right to Food Forum DVD contains a summary of the discussions and conclusions reached during the thematic panels and plenary sessions of the Right to Food Forum held in FAO from 1 to 3 October 2008. It also includes a short feature with the highlights of the Forum as well as extracts from interviews conducted with experts and practitioners.
The DVD allows a wide range of interested persons to take part in the debates and experiences shared during the Forum and related to the implementation of the right to adequate food at national level.

CD-ROM: A Primer to the Right to Adequate Food

The course provides an introduction to the human right to adequate food. It consists of seven lessons, of approximately 30 to 45 minutes duration. Each lesson achieves a specific set of learning objectives using interactive step-by-step instructions and exercises. The course introduces the principles and concept of the right to adequate food and its practical application using storytelling and illustrative case studies.The course also provides an overview of the historical development of this human right, the human rights based approach to development, recourse mechanisms, the Right to Food Guidelines and describes the rights, obligations and responsibilities of right-holders and duty-bearers of the right to food.
The target audience of this course includes: UN country teams and FAO staff, practitioners, Non-Gvernment Organizations/Civil Society Organizations, civil society and academic institutions.

The Right to Food Virtual Library is a unique repository of information on the Human Right to Adequate Food and Freedom from Hunger. It provides catalogued documentation to assist the implementation of the Right to Food at national level.
The aim of the Right to Food Virtual Library is to collect, maintain and provide a relevant, up-to-date, and outstanding collection of documents to fulfil the information needs of policy makers, practitioners, general public, civil society, NGOs, UN country teams, media and the academia, working towards the realisation of the Right to Food.

CD-ROM: The Voluntary Guidelines in Short

This CD-ROM targets States and UN agencies, but also development practitioners, members of civil society and university institutions.
Its pages provide an overview of the Voluntary Guidelines, highlighting their purpose, nature and content, but without seeking to interpret, summarize or replace them.
The presentation aims to give practical guidance on implementation of the guidelines and comprises six chapters.
