| The Right to Adequate Food and Food Security |
| Legally binding rights to food can contribute to world food security by prescribing and proscribing certain national and international actions. In short the codification of rights provides a touchstone around which people can rally and against which they can hold their governments accountable. This is critical for assuring that the right policies are in place to achieve sustainable food security for all. |
