The Human Right to Food: Engaging the Debate About Globalization Employment and the Quality of Life
One approach to engaging the debate about globalization employment and the quality of life is to explore the issue of 'first world' hunger in terms of the politics of welfare and food security. Such an analysis asks how the economic and social rights of citizenship (e.g. to work adequate incomes and a decent social wage and quality of life) can be advanced in countries of the North and South when the world's wealthiest countries are themselves neglecting the human right to food.
