    The Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor aims to make legal protection and economic opportunity not the privilege of the few but the right of all. Legal Empowerment is hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It was launched in 2005 by a group of developing and industrialized countries including Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Guatemala, Iceland, India, Norway, Sweden, South Africa, Tanzania and the United Kingdom.

Feeding Minds Fighting Hunger is designed to help equip and encourage teachers, students and young people all over the world to actively participate in creating a world free from hunger. You will find lesson modules for teachers, resources and activities for young people and an interactive forum for exchanging information and experiences around the world.

    Food Force is an educational computer game published by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). Players take on missions to distribute food in a famine affected country and to help it to recover and become self-sufficient again. At the same time they learn about hunger in the real world and WFP's work to prevent it. Finally! An educational game that rocks!

    The Right to Education is a fundamental human right. It occupies a central place in Human Rights and is essential and indispensable for the exercise of all other human rights and for development. "As an empowerment right, education is the primary vehicle by which economically and socially marginalized adults and children can lift themselves out of poverty, and obtain the means to participate fully in their communities." None of the civil, political, economic and social rights can be exercised by individuals unless they have received a certain minimum education.
