  Call from the Cordoba Group

The Cordoba Group calls for coherence and action on food security and climate change. Meeting in advance of a series of international high-level meetings to take place in the second half of 2009 and against a background of a food crisis that affects in particular those who are already vulnerable, the Group focused on two major issues:
1) Coherence in four policy areas to make the multilateral system work for the hungry and
2) Support to small farmers to achieve food security by 2050 in a world with a changing climate.

The Cordoba Group is composed of personalities from different backgrounds, experts on issues related to the right to food and food security, contributing ad personam to the international debate and proposing solutions to end world hunger.
