Sibylle contributed to the coordination of FAO’s work on SARD and the SARD Initiative by performing the following duties:

• Organized, facilitated, and prepared minutes of internal meetings and meetings with government representatives, including conference calls with Major Groups of Civil Society about the further development and concrete realization of the SARD Initiative.

• Prepared correspondence with potential participants in the SARD Initiative, including governments, non-governmental organizations, and civil society organizations.

• Undertook internet and library searches related to the SARD Initiative and other governmental and non-governmental projects for country case studies and established a data base on the basis of these searches.

• Developed guidelines and criteria according to which projects will be acknowledged and supported as SARD projects.

• Further developed and improved the SARD Initiative website.
