Other partners

Partnerships with international organizations, governments at central and decentralized levels, civil society, NGOs and the private sector contribute to the implementation of the project at global, regional and national levels.

At the national level, the project benefits at least one country in each of the Regional Focal Points regions. Concerted actions:

  • Integrates sectoral policies, local governance and the decentralisation processes;
  • Valorizes traditional know-how;
  • Strengthens the public and private sector, as well as civil society institutions.
To be effective and field-oriented, partnerships are promoted both at the national and local levels. Countries that have already expressed interest in participating include Algeria, Argentina, Bolivia, Burundi, China, Colombia, Kenya, Morocco, Peru and Tunisia.
