The SARD-M project takes a pause
On the 8th of February 2010, the Steering Committee for the SARD-M project took note of the growing importance of the topic of remuneration of positive externalities of mountain regions including payment for environmental services and decided to take a pause for reflection and debate involving a wider group of stakeholders before launching an eventual Phase III of the project. A broader view of externalities incorporating issues related to climate change and food security would add value to ongoing work. Phase II ended on 28 February 2010.
