5th European Mountain Convention: Cohesion for growth (14-15 September 2006, Chavez, Portugal)
Organized by Euromontana, the 5th European Mountain Convention will concentrate on making the case for territorial cohesion as a contributor to the European growth agenda.

The European Mountain Conventions are an initiative involving the whole European mountain community and stakeholders.

This 5th Convention will be composed of plenary sessions dealing notably with challenges facing European mountain areas as well as existing and better policies for mountain and fragile rural areas. In addition, seven working groups will be held.

UNEP Vienna-Interim Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention and the SARD-M Project will facilitate the working group “Planting seeds for future Carpathian and Balkan Generations: towards new policy packages for SARD in mountain regions in light of regional challenges”.
