The European Association of elected representatives from Mountain areas (AEM), that defends the interests of mountain areas and populations across Europe to promote the specificities of mountain territories, organized a conference on October 27th and 28th about “policy and public stakes of territorial convergence of mountain massifs in Central and Eastern Europe countries”.
The first objective of this event was to enable the participants to debate about the experiences and opportunities of the territorial cooperation between and in European mountain areas based on the results of AEM European project INTERACT PRO MONTE.
Through the gathering of local and regional authorities from the Carpathian and Sudetes Mountains and the Western Europe mountain ranges, this conference also aimed to intensify the creation of networks between political authorities from mountain regions and facilitate the exchange of best practices to facilitate mountain sustainable development.
The SARD-M project was invited to present its objectives and activities at a roundtable.
