The United Nations Environment Programme Vienna – Interim Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention is organizing a side event on “Mountain Partnerships” to be held on 10 October 2007 during the Sixth Ministerial Conference on "Environment for Europe" organized on by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) on 10-12 October 2007.

This side event aims to discuss and assess the benefits and shortcomings of mountain partnerships such as the Mountain legal agreements, the Alpine Convention and the Carpathian Convention or being created, as is the case in South Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.

The SARD-M Project has been invited to join the panel in order to contribute to the discussion on the different levels of cooperation.
