As part of the SARD Initiative team, Stefania:

•Maintained and updated the SARD and SARD Initiative Websites, proposed improvements in content and structure;

•Liaised with the Major Group Focal Points to facilitate communication among them and organised a conference call in December 2006;

•Provided information on the CSD 2008/2009 preparatory process for the SARD Inter Departmental Task Force, including regional meeting planned;

•Managed the peer review process of the Paper “Cultural Indicators of Indigenous Peoples’ Food and Agro-ecological Systems”, and drafted a summary note on FAO report to the UNPFII;

•Drafted the SARD and Cultural Indicators for Indigenous Peoples Policy Brief;

•In preparation for the Committee on Food Security, reviewed the progress of 60 countries in the implementation of the World Food Summit Plan of Action;

•Contributed to the preparation of a LOA for the development of a training course to promote decent, safe, stable and remunerative employment for poor agricultural and rural workers;

•Attended a seminar on “Slave labour, property rights and rural development in contemporary Brazil” held at the University of Roma 3, and wrote a summary report;

•Developed a series of Power Point Presentations.
