A 3-day training in fisheries loss assessment and reduction was held 30th September to 2nd October, back-to-back with the Technology Expo on Marine and Fisheries Product Processing and Biotechnology 2014” (organized by the Indonesian Research and Development  Center for Marine and Fisheries Product Processing and Biotechnology on 24-26 September, 2014) in Jakarta. At this technology forum, FAO/FIPM made a keynote presentation on "An overview of global trends related to product and processing and the examples/case studies related to FAO initiatives". This training facilitated by Mr. Ansen Ward, an international post-harvest fisheries expert will be followed by case studies to be funded by the Save Food initiative.
