The Food and Nutrition Security Workshop is a collaborative consultative event enabled by the World Future Council (WFC), the City of Windhoek (Namibia), the City of Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

In September 2013, WFC invited local government representatives from four African cities (including Windhoek) to Belo Horizonte (Brazil) to share and disseminate the model that the city implemented for its food systems and food and nutrition security.

The workshop will bring experiences and ideas from Brazil to Namibia as well as invite international experts to contribute.
