The University of Illinois Extension: Horticulture: Kids gardening
This extension program is an outreach effort offering educational programs:

1. My first garden
This Web site is for teachers of 4th grade students and aims to make learning fun. It's about gardens and the care involved in planning, nurturing and enjoying the benefits of gardening in a variety of spaces.
2. The great plant escape
This is an elementary program for 4th and 5th grade students. Each of the lessons is interdisciplinary, designed to introduce students to plant science and increase their understanding of how foods grow.

Garden mosaics
The mission of this Web site is "Connecting youth and elders... to investigate the mosaic of plants, people and cultures in gardens, to learn about science and to act together to enhance their community."

Aggie Horticulture: Just for kids
Aggie Horticulture Network combines the information resources of the teaching, research and extension program at the Texas A&M University System. This Web site aims to make the information accessible to children.
