Information and Communication Technologies Servicing Rural Radio:
Final report of the International Workshop
February 19-22, 2001
This report, available in English and French, discusses the International Workshop on Rural Radio organized by the Communication for Development Group, SDRE, to look for new contents and to develop new partnerships with regards to information and communication technologies servicing rural radio.
The Workshop provided a forum to share ideas and experiences between North (Europe and North America) and South (Africa) regarding the use of radio broadcasting.
The report includes the main recommendations made at the Workshop on networks, contents, training, North-South collaboration, national structures, to be strengthened, partnerships and mobilization of funds.
