The Artemis Charting Applet: Country Demo

This page provides a fully functional example of the Artemis Charting Applet, applied to one country, Chad. Just select a "Start year" and a "Zone" from the pull-down menu to create your first chart. More instructions are given below.

i

Chad, B-zones

The map on the right gives the zones that were determined for this country, using the procedures described in the previous page. For each zone, all available data from the ARTEMIS archive have been extracted and included in the Applet.

To use the Applet above:

  1. Select a product (or use default)
  2. Select the time span (or use default)
  3. Select one or more sequences, e.g. 1999 and zone b03 for sequence 1 and "average" and zone b03 for sequence 2
  4. Select options when required: cumulate and auto scaling
  5. Press "clone" to copy a chart in a separate window.

The products are cold cloud duration, estimated rainfall and vegetation index , both as dekadal and as monthly values. Click on the above product links to obtain more information, as available from the SDRN Artemis/Agromet web site METART.
