March 2003 Land reform, land settlement and cooperatives bulletin2002/2
This issue focuses on the management of conflict over land and natural resources. FAO's Rural Development Division is currently working toward achieving a deeper understanding of the current methods and practices in land conflict management. The 2002/2 issue addresses land conflict management in Africa, Asia and Latin America, with case studies on Mexico, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, and the Philippines. Furthermore, this issue includes the papers "Land conflict management: a conceptual map", "Legal frameworks and land conflicts: an analysis form a human rights perspective"and "Community paralegals and land tenure".
