SEAGA Programme Handbooks

The Gender and Population Division's Socio-economic and Gender Analysis (SEAGA) programme, is a people-centred programme that supports the division's efforts to mainstream gender.

The programme's seeks to promote an awareness and understanding of gender issues within agricultural and rural development issues; however, the core part of its activities focus on capacity building in integrating gender issues in development concerns and strategies.

Through the different handbooks (Field, Intermediate and Macro levels) and technical guides the programme offers a wide range of tools for conducting socio-economic and gender analysis. The SEAGA handbooks and guides are now available online in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
