This training manual is a useful tool for community workers in growing, preparing and processing healthy food. Training communities using this manual will be empowered to reduce their vulnerability to food insecurity and malnutrition. Communities will have their knowledge and skills in food production, processing, preparation and consumption of a diversified and healthy diet improved. The manual is targeted at all extension workers, both in the public, nongovernment sectors as well as civic organizations and in so doing acknowledges the need for a multi-sectoral approach in addressing food security and nutrition problems.
