This series of guidebooks targets actual and potential growers of cassava, cowpea, maize, soybean and watermelon. These plants are major staple crops in Nigeria as they can be found in the daily menu of local people. The guidebooks full of colorful illustrations and written in a simple language show the step-by-step procedure and precautions for obtaining high quality harvest. Each guidebook is completed by trainer's guide which provides teachers with practical pedagogical advice and gives an explanation on how to conduct the course.
