| This paper is a training tool for capacity development initiatives aimed at planners and educators on rural development. It is also a useful tool for university professors, students and researchers of the agriculture rural development and education sectors. The main inputs of the eleventh Working Group for International Co-operation in Skills Development meeting (Rome 2005) that had as an objective the issue of education for rural people are synthesised in this book, together with a review of current approaches to rural skills development of bilateral and multilateral agencies. The Working Group took advantage to explore the experiences of several agencies in the education for rural people field and to discuss plans for new research in this area. |
