| This video sets out the Chad nomads’ life which is organized following the rules dictated by their cattle and the frailty of the dry environment in which they live. Now, changing climatic conditions, new economic habits and intensive cultivation in wet environments are putting dry areas at risk, pushing the nomads away from their traditional lands onto the islands of the lake. Helping them adapt to this new life is possible only by combining tradition and new technology. This video is of special interest to secondary school teachers and students, adult community groups and rural development specialists. |
