About the IP
Baseline surveys: HIV/AIDS and agriculture
The linkages at household level between gender, HIV/AIDS and food security and rural livelihoods have been explored by the IP in Zambia, Uganda and Namibia.
The IP partners in the three countries have since August 2002 collected quantitative and qualitative data on the impacts of HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases on agricultural production and food security in rural households and communities.
A summary of the preliminary findings, as well as suggestions on strategies for action on how to mitigate HIV/AIDS in the agricultural sector, have been consolidated into a 8 pages brochure. You can download the brochure in PDF (571 kb) or contact the email@example.com to obtain copies.Preliminary findings
